Customization Showcase: 2022 RAM 1500 TRX Custom Build by Glover Customs

Welcome back to our Customization Showcase series, where we’re going to take another look at a custom build the team here at Glover Customs has put together in the past. We’re using these blogs to give you some incredible examples of what’s possible when creating a custom build as well as what our team is capable of accomplishing with the vision you have. Today we’re highlighting a 2022 RAM 1500 TRX that the team built a couple of years ago and turned out absolutely stellar.

As you’ll hear from Jared Glover by watching the video below, at the time – and perhaps even still – this 2022 RAM 1500 TRX was one of the coolest pickup trucks the crew has ever built. The custom build combines our Indominus Package with a Starwood custom signature finish as well as some extra design additions requested by the customer. We’ll highlight some of the upgrades and add-ons below and then you can see and hear more about them by watching the video.

As we mentioned, one of the foundations of this custom build is the Indominus Package, which is a package that was designed by Glover Customs and introduced on the 2021 RAM TRX for that year’s SEMA event. Named after the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World, a play on the RAM trim level’s T-Rex inspiration, this package takes everything the TRX already stands for up to the next level. The original Indominus was built alongside Addictive Desert Designs, but it’s now offered as a customization package on any TRX custom build, and that was one of the things the customer requested here. Let’s start by giving you a list of everything that comes in the Indominus Package, noting where things might differ in this particular build:

• Addictive Desert Designs Bomber Series front, rear bumpers
  • Front bumper features four Rigid 360 Series driving beam lights
  • Rear bumper features Rigid radiance pod lights
  • All lighting features amber backlighting
• Stealth Fighter Chase Rack
  • Not found on this build
• Dual bed-mounted spare tire carriers
  • While this build came with both spare tires, the customer did not want the bed-mounted carriers
  • Replaced instead with Addictive Desert Designs’ Universal Overland Rack; featuring two scene lights and Rigid Chase light bar
• Red rock undercarriage lights
• Foutz Motorsports leveling kit
  • Replaced by Geiser TRX Spring Kit in this build
• 20” Black Rhino beadlock wheels
• 37” Nitto Ridge Grappler tires
• Ripatuned Incognito pulley
• Quick Time Performance Aggressor Electric Cutout Pipes
  • Replaced with aFe Power full exhaust system in this build 

In addition to the Indominus Package, which has been adjusted quite a bit for this build at the customer’s request, we mentioned that it also featured a Starwood custom signature finish. To be more specific, this build features Starwood’s Nardo Grey paint, which they did with a two-tone application and included a hood stinger stripe that features the TRX logo. To contrast this, the truck also features a ton of orange contrast accents which are painted with Jeep’s Pumpkin Metallic color thanks to Collision Correction Center in Tulsa.

The Indominus Package and Starwood finish weren’t enough for this custom build, though, as the customer also requested several additional upgrades. Here’s a list of the additional features:
